Melogin.cn is the official web address that you can use to access your Mercury (水星 MERCURY) router settings. It’s where you can set your WiFi name and password, access the setup wizard, and make changes to the network settings. If you’re using a Mercury router or repeater, you can log in at http://melogin.cn or 192.168.1.1.
How to Log in to Mercury Router
Logging in to your Mercury router is your key to personalizing and protecting your home network. When you log in, you can manage the connected devices and create a guest network or even change the WiFi channels of your router. You can actually find everything in the router’s admin panel. If you are ready to get started, here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Connect Your Device to the Router
First, make sure your device is connected to the router, whether it’s a laptop, phone, or tablet. You can do this wirelessly or by plugging in a LAN cable. A wired connection is usually more stable, especially if you’re planning to make multiple changes to the settings.

Step 2: Open a Browser
Now that you’re connected, open your favorite browser and type melogin.cn into the address bar. Make sure the URL is correctly typed, then press Enter. If that address doesn’t work, try using 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.253 because some Mercury routers use one of those instead, depending on the model. You can also check the back of the router, as the IP address is printed there.

Do you own other brands of routers aside from Mercury? You can also log in and configure their settings by using the IP address below:

Step 3: Log In or Set Your Admin Password
Once the login screen shows up after typing melogin.cn in your browser, what happens next depends on whether your router is brand new or has been set up before. If you’re setting up the router for the first time or after a factory reset, you’ll be asked to create an admin password. It must be at least 6 characters and no more than 15 characters. Enter your desired password and click the right arrow button (Next) to proceed.

If your router is already configured, just enter the existing admin password. Once the right password is entered, you’ll be directed to the admin dashboard.

Step 4: Explore the Admin Panel
After logging in, you’ll find yourself inside the Mercury admin dashboard. If it’s your first time, a setup wizard may pop up to guide you through the basics, like selecting your internet connection type (Dynamic IP, PPPoE, or Static), changing your SSID, and setting a new WiFi password. If you don’t see the wizard, you can always head to the menu and find Internet Settings or Wireless Settings to start customizing things on your own.

How to Configure WiFi Name (SSID) and Password
Changing your SSID name and password is usually the first thing you should do, especially if you’re using default settings. Here’s how to get it done:

- From the dashboard, click the WiFi icon.
- Set a new Wi-Fi name.
- Set a new Wi-Fi password.
- Click the Like/Confirm button to save the settings.
The steps are different for the Mercury extender. Here are the steps to follow:
- Type melogin.cn or 192.168.1.253 in the address bar of your browser.
- In the fields provided, type 12345678 as the login password, then click Log In.
- Select the WiFi network you want to expand.
- Enter the password of the selected WiFi network, and type the Extender Wireless Network Name.
- After that, click Next Step.
How to Reset Your Mercury Router
If you have been facing issues with your Mercury router, maybe it is time to consider resetting it. But before doing it, remember that all the configurations and modifications you have made in its settings will be set to default. If you wish to process, then follow the steps below:
- Locate the reset button on the side or back of the router.
- Press and hold it for at least 10 seconds, then release
- If your router has indicator lights, wait until they become solid and stable.
- You can now reconfigure the settings of your router to protect your network from unauthorized connections.
